OpenEdge Beta Programs provide OpenEdge customers with an exciting opportunity to get ahead of the game by providing early access to Progress products and documentation. By using the knowledge and skills acquired in the programs you can ensure your market leadership position.

Advantages of Participating in OpenEdge Beta Programs

As a participant in an OpenEdge Beta Program you will be amongst the first to test-drive an important software release prior to its commercial availability. This opportunity enables Beta sites to not only find defects prior to shipment, but to help shape the overall product from a long-term perspective.

Beta Programs feature exclusive access to the latest information available on Progress products and technologies. Additional benefits include:

  • The opportunity to influence future products by providing your feedback and suggestions directly to OpenEdge Engineering, Documentation group, Product Management, and the Beta Program Manager
  • Dedicated Technical Support to help address your Beta issues and questions in a timely manner
  • Periodic program updates through email and the Beta Program Web site.

How to Participate

The box at right lists Beta Programs that are currently open for registration or actively underway. Prospective participants are welcome to apply to any program that is still open for registration.

To register, please take a moment to review the goals and qualifications for the program of your choice. If you feel you meet these requirements and are interested in participating, please apply for the program. Please note that your registration does not guarantee admittance into the program. The OpenEdge Product Management team reviews all applications for acceptance. If you have enrolled in similar programs and forums in the past, their decision will include consideration of your level of past participation. You will be notified via email at a later date regarding the status of your Beta Program application.

Important Note: Beta software is supplied as-is. Product defects may or may not be fixed before first commercial ship (FCS). Because this is pre-release software you will be prohibited from using it in a production environment.
