Agenda: The Server Side Symposium

March 01, 2005 Data & AI

The agenda for the ServerSide Symposium had *finally* been posted. My time slot is scheduled for 12h00 to 13h15 on Saturday, March 5th and to get an idea of what I'll be talking about, I copied my abstract here:

This presentation is an introduction to XQuery for programmers. Jonathan Bruce will provide an in-depth discussion of XQuery, the native XML Programming language that uses XML as it only complex data structure, and explain how it is optimized for creating, searching, restructuring and processing XML. The presentation will also include specific examples detailing the usage of XQJ API, the standard that allows XQuery to be embedded in Java, as described by the Early Draft Review of the Specification.
