Euro-Pro takes it’s business to the next level with SaaS

Gartner has predicted that worldwide SaaS revenue will reach $22.1 billion in 2015, which is not a surprise when you consider that SaaS-based apps have enabled companies to grow more quickly and adapt to business changes.

Euro-Pro, a pioneer in innovative cleaning solutions and small household appliances like the Shark vacuum and Ninja cooking system, is one company that has carved out a significant market share almost overnight by implementing a SaaS solution.

In 2009, Euro-Pro selected Progress partner FDM4 as its SaaS provider to help manage consumer orders and handle all order-related processing and consumer experience calls. FDM4’s SaaS solution gave Euro-Pro the rapid deployment and customization options it needed to handle speedy growth and a constantly changing business environment – the reason why Euro-Pro chose this system over an off-the-shelf system.

And the numbers don’t lie – in early 2009, Euro-Pro’s infomercial web sales equated to 12% of orders using its old platform. Today, Euro-Pro is currently processing more than 50% of its infomercial web orders using the FDM4-built website. Additionally, orders through the company’s outsourced telemarketing call centers and website used to take anywhere from 24 to 48 hours before showing up in the system; today, they take 5 minutes or less.
