August 28, 2014 Company and Community , Data & AI

Progress Exchange 2014 is right around the corner and I am really excited at the opportunity to meet many of Progress’ customers and partners! If you’re looking to modernize your apps, enhance user experience (UX), discover best practices or leverage application design trends, here are three exclusive chances to work with Progress’ User Experience team at Exchange:

1) UX Trends and Considerations - A Peek into the Future: I will be delivering a talk around UX trends on October 7th at 1:15 PM ET, where I’ll discuss the innovations and trends across industries and domains that are affecting the mental model and user expectations. If you want to leverage user experience trends and ensure your products/apps stay competitive and relevant, be sure to attend this session!

2) Product Usability Analysis:  The Progress User Experience team will be hosting a 60-minute design review session with the UX experts from the Progress UX team. Are you unsure about the usability of your app? Are you worried about user adoption? Show us your custom OpenEdge, Rollbase or Progress-software-based application and we will provide an on the spot analysis of usability issues with your current system and offer some high level recommendations to enhance the overall experience of your application. There are very limited slots, so sign up for the sessions right away to secure a spot.

For us to provide best guidance, please be prepared to deliver the following at the beginning of the session:

    • Summary of the goals of your application, targeted end users, key user tasks and the platform of use (e.g. desktop/mobile).
    • Rapid walkthrough of the application online OR screenshots of the application within a prepared PowerPoint presentation.

3) UX Booth: Join us at the user experience booth in the showcase exhibit hall to check out some of the top notch design and UX best practices we’ve employed in our current products, learn about the design thinking process and get a peek into some of the UX innovations we have in the works.
