Recently, API Maintenance Systems won the award for Best IT Company in Denmark from IT magazine, Computerworld.
“Winning the award as the Best IT Company in our country in front of IBM, Microsoft, SAP, and other software giants, has helped us to project our brand further than we ever expected. I am very proud of having led this company through more than 10 years of success,” notes Michael Ries, CEO of API Maintenance Systems.
“From the beginning, we aimed purposively at delivering intelligent IT solutions for enterprise asset management. Today, we develop solutions for more than 600 organizations in 45 countries across the world. Progress gives us the benefit of being able to develop software that can compete with products from much larger organizations.”
Progress OpenEdge has allowed API Maintenance Systems to use existing infrastructure while adapting to market changes and developing the business logic part of their system over the last 20 years without having to change development platforms. As a result, API’s customers are able to concentrate on their daily work while API makes changes to its software, including moving from a client/server to a 3-Tier RIA based environment with integration to customers ERP systems, and enabling web and mobile functionality. When asked why API Maintenance Systems chose to partner with Progress, CEO, Michael Ries explained, “Progress OpenEdge has been around for many years and is still a platform that makes it possible for us to serve a large number of existing customers/installations and at the same time, adapt to new requirements and trends as they appear in the market. With the help of OpenEdge, our relatively small organization is able to compete against IT giants such as IBM, Infor and SAP in the Enterprise Asset Management market.”
