Can you tell us about yourself and your career path at Progress so far?
I joined Progress in 2022 to head up our North America Field Marketing team. Now, just under three years later, I lead our Field/Channel and Corporate Events Team for the NA, EMEA and CALA regions. My team is focused on driving growth, innovation and pipeline to support Progress’ business strategy and revenue targets.
Can you please share more information about your team and some of the key initiatives they are currently working on?
I have a diverse and dynamic team across North America, CALA and EMEA that works closely with our sales and partner teams to create marketing activities to drive and support revenue goals across multiple products. The team partners closely with our Global Campaigns, Digital, Center of Excellence and Product Marketing groups to contribute and align to overall strategy and integrated marketing plans. The marketing plans and activities are focused on business goals that consist of Net-New, Expansion, Renewal and Retention activities that vary by product.
How would you describe the team’s culture and working environment?
I’m proud to say that I have a very collaborative and social team that supports each other in sharing best practices, as well as additional support and coverage (when needed). Our team has regular check-ins with each other in addition to standard leadership or mandatory team calls. It is important to me and my management team to create and foster a trusting environment to share challenges, insights and any areas that they need assistance or support.
How does the team celebrate milestones and successes?
We like to celebrate in multiple ways depending on the milestone or success, but we use Praise (Progress’s internal employee recognition program) to recognize milestone events such as service anniversaries, birthdays or above and beyond projects/activities they have completed well. We also like to recognize people on team calls and give them extra visibility by presenting or sharing a best practice that others can learn from.
What opportunities for professional growth and development are available to team members?
Development and growth is very important to me and the management team. It’s important for the individual to determine what their personal goals are in order for their managers to weigh that against any skillset gaps to guide and help build out and agree to a development plan. We have lots of great internal resources and trainings on career planning and growth, communication, leadership and more, but we also offer to fund external trainings on a case-by-case approval basis.

What are the team’s goals for the next year, and how does this new role contribute to achieving them?
The primary goal for the team is to continue to support our sales team and partners by developing net-new and expansion pipeline and awareness activities, with a continued focus on retention and renewals. Our Field Marketing team is an integral part of the marketing strategy as we are responsible for creating plans that will build relationships, generate leads, build brand awareness, gather insights and educate customers. We will be focusing even more on ABM motions and partners in the coming year in order to reach our goals and expand our footprint strategically. We want to work “smarter, not harder!” This role is critical to achieving success, as North America is our largest region with the highest revenue targets and largest team. We need a strong and talented individual to lead and guide our Americas team.
