By acquiring Kemp, Progress strengthens its portfolio of market-leading products in DevOps, application development, data connectivity and digital experience, adding application experience management.
I’m excited to share that Progress has announced that we will acquire privately held Kemp, a leader in delivering always-on application experiences (AX) for enterprises and service providers. We expect the deal to close in late October.
Why Acquire Kemp?
COVID-19 has shifted the way we work and engage with others. It has forced businesses to accelerate digital transformation efforts, prioritizing always-on application experiences. As a result, organizations are re-evaluating their total infrastructure, cloud capabilities, security practices and more. This acquisition strengthens our capabilities in these critical areas as we continue to successfully execute our acquisition-driven total growth strategy.
The Importance of Application Experience
Kemp simplifies how customers optimize, and secure applications and networks across any cloud or hybrid environment through best-in-class network performance monitoring, application delivery control and anomaly detection. Its Loadmaster and Flowmon Network Visibility product lines complement the Progress product portfolio and further our mission to be the trusted provider of the best products to develop, deploy and manage high-impact business applications.
Established in 2003, Kemp has redefined load balancing and application delivery with more simplified deployments, more flexible licensing and top-rated technical support, serving 25,000 customers, with more than 100,000 deployments, worldwide.
Customer-First Culture
Like Progress, Kemp takes a customer-first approach, enabling customers to evolve and stay competitive, all while using best-in-class technology built by passionate people invested in their success. Progress is an experienced, trusted provider of products designed with you, our customers, in mind, so you can build what you need, deploy where and how you want, empower your end-customers, manage it all safely and securely. We will continue to be your trusted provider with a growing portfolio of products that help propel your business in our modern technology-driven world.
Kemp also has a thriving partner ecosystem, which complements our channel and is one that we will nurture and grow. Partners will benefit by being able to deliver a broader portfolio of Progress products to their customers, and will be able to leverage Progress Accelerate, our award-winning channel partner program.
Progress has an aggressive goal to double the size of our company in five years by acquiring and integrating businesses that complement our portfolio. Kemp is another important step in this journey, and we believe this acquisition will benefit our customers, partners, employees and shareholders.
We look forward to bringing Kemp on board and to the day when we can officially welcome them into the Progress family.
