On October 18, 2021, Progress will be removing support for TLS 1.0 and 1.1 protocols. Progress is discontinuing the support for these protocols to ensure Progress web services are using industry standard security protocols.
What is changing?
Progress is updating application security protocols and deprecating support for TLS 1.0 and 1.1. This means any attempted connections while using older browsers that only support TLS 1.0 and 1.1 will no longer be allowed. Only TLS 1.2 and higher are supported by Progress.
The table below includes the websites that be affected by this change.
How to Check If You Are Affected
To check your browser for TLS 1.2 support: Visit the SSL/TLS Capabilities testing page. Using old browsers brings high risk to all online activities. If you’ve already upgraded to the latest version of your browser, this may not apply to you. Please accept our sincere apologies if this information is irrelevant to you.
What is TLS?
Transport Layer Security (TLS) is a protocol that ensures privacy between communicating applications and their users on the Internet. When a server and client communicate, TLS ensures that no third-party may eavesdrop or tamper with any message. TLS is the successor to the Secure Sockets Layer (SSL).
