Updates to DataXtend Browser for ACORD

October 16, 2012 Data & AI

I’m excited to report that DataXtend Semantic Integrator (DXSI) has been integral to data interoperability solutions for the insurance industry for quite a while. We introduced the first DataXtend Browser for ACORD in 2009 to give interested parties a way to visually explore model-based representations of the comprehensive schemas of the ACORD XML standards. Our unique tool provides a way to search for the content, and understand the meaning, of any of the entities in the ACORD XML standards. Using DXSI allows everyone, business owners, analysts, developers, to share a common and simplified view of their respective Insurance domains.

Version 2.3 of the DataXtend Browser for ACORD includes model-based representations of the Property & Casualty/Surety and Life, Annuity & Health, and Reinsurance & Large Commercial XML standards.

You can learn more about the Browser and all things DataXtend at the ACORD Implementation Forum, October 22 – 25, in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Frank Koh, our Director of Technology for DXSI Professional Services, and Cindy Maike, a Partner with Tshibanda & Associates and insurance industry guru, will be presenting at the conference. Their session, Using DXSI to Implement the ACORD Information Model in Your Environment, will be on Tuesday, the 23rd, at 4:45pm. Specifically, they’ll address:

  • How to improve the customer experience through the ACORD Information Model common view of data;
  • Why a consistent and common definition of data and information is critical in order to get to market faster;
  • How reduced data integration time and costs will reverberate positively through your business.

I’ll be there as well, attending sessions and manning our table, so be sure to stop by and say hello.
