Some things are just mismatched: Kirk and Spock, toothpaste and orange juice, and app development and data storage. Created to solve this last one, MongoDB is a general-purpose database that can be used in place of a relational database for greater functionality. Specifically, it gives developers the ability to query across the database and documents and improves performance. In the relational world, data is split between tables and tables are distributed across memory (RAM/disks.) Storing data in document improves performance without compromising functionality.
And we are all about performance.
In April, I wrote about my huMONGOus excitement when I learned DataDirect will be hosting a booth at MongoDB World in June. Since then, the team has been working hard on building a huge booth experience. Located in booth 119, we will have great give-always, and our two core product owners, Brad Wright and Brody Messer, will be available for one-on-ones to discuss connecting MongoDB to your existing IT ecosystem. Register here if you’re interested.
Come by to learn how DataDirect makes integration of MongoDB easier while maintaining the performance advantages that MongoDB offers. DataDirect exposes complex data types via methods familiar to most while providing a method to normalize nested documents into second-normal relational form. If you are thinking about integrating MongoDB data into an existing application, come to the booth to learn about the easiest and most effective method for connecting MongoDB data. You may even learn something monolithic and leave with a cool, new T-shirt.
If you can’t the event, but want to stay informed follow us on Twitter @DataDirect_News for real-time updates from the conference floor.
