It’s a customary gesture at the Progress DataDirect blog to introduce ourselves before we burst onto the blogging scene. You may have seen a few of my posts before, but I guess you could say that I’m now being added to the starting lineup!  My name is Paul Griffin, and I am the new Product Marketing Manager for the Progress DataDirect Connect product line.  I have worked with this product line in a support and presales capacity for over eight years, so you could say I know it like the back of my hand!  In the last five years, my role has been very customer-focused, in assisting prospects evaluating our software. In the coming weeks and months, I’ll be blogging about customer issue resolution, hot topics in the news, and the latest innovative strategies for database connectivity.

One of the issues we’ve written about on the blog in the past is integration with legacy on-premise systems and cloud-based systems. Just wanted to share a Virtual Cloud Summit I’m attending tomorrow, since a lot of you have shared our interest in this topic. Please feel free to join me: http://www.virtualtechsummits.com/Register.aspx?EventID=5

We’ll be blogging about the Summit in a future post and would love to entertain your comments on it!
