Screen Shot 2013-01-25 at 10.12.21 AM I had the pleasure of attending Cloud Expo Europe last week and it was a blast! As the biggest gathering of thought leaders and practitioners in Europe, the show drew extremely knowledgeable attendees who made strong business cases for cloud computing. With nine program tracks and eight dedicated theaters, as well as top industry CTOs and analysts milling around the conference space, the DataDirect team stayed very busy!

Out of all of the session tracks, the Cloud & Big Data track that included our session on SQL for SaaS was the best attended and included some of the most interesting topics. We made sure to provide real-world implementations of how to seamlessly connect to your SaaS data no matter where it’s stored. During the session we also promoted our upcoming webinar on enabling SQL access through Connectivity as a Service, which took place today. I’m happy to report that over 50 people registered during the conference!

We had a great time speaking with fellow vendors and attendees at the show and can’t wait to go back next year! Stay tuned to our blog and Twitter at @DataDirect_News to get updates on our DataDirect Cloud solution, as it will launch this Spring.
