Progress is excited to sponsor SpeedCon 2014 at North Carolina State University this weekend (February 8th, 2014)!

Hosted by the NC State Technical Communication Association, SpeedCon is an annual “unconference” that runs on user-generated content, meaning the conference participants bring the topics for discussion based on their expertise, interests and the current issues from within their communities and beyond. A diverse mix of students and professionals from around the country will attend for the chance to exchange ideas and learn more about all forms of communication, including writing, technical communication and digital media.

Some of the proposed topics for this year's conference include:

  • Running A MOOC: On the Potential of Algorithmic Massive Open Online Courses
  • Pecha Kucha for Classrooms, Conferences, and Meetings
  • The Info on Infographics (presented with graphics)
  • Effective Video Planning & Design for Web-Based Learning
  • Blindspot: Cognitive Science for Law-makers

SpeedCon 2014 will take place at the digital spaces in the new James B. Hunt Jr. Library at NC State’s Centennial Campus.  As part of our sponsorship we'll be giving away some cool door prizes and other giveaways throughout the conference! Did we mention it's free?

Don't miss it - there's still time to register! Visit  http://speedcon.wordpress.com/ for more information.
