Programatic interfaces to new Tivo Series III box

Today cNET announces the release of Tivo Series 3 - finally a solution to the awful HD DVRs supplied by cable providers. Parsing many of the announcements and the Tivo Community, I have not found anything on two important topics: 1. Will Tivo Series III support that same excellent programatic interfaces so the apps I've written will work when I eventually upgrade ? 2. It supports the cable card interface, but rumous around here seem to indicate that Time Warner Cable may not be supporting these interfaces? Anyone know - comment below and let me know.
