At the request of several of our customers, the OpenEdge team has been hard at work on a schedule for virtual workshops to help you get the most out of your OpenEdge investment. No matter what version of OpenEdge you are on, you are bound to leave each workshop with something.

5 Hands-On Workshops Delivered by the Engineering Team

Start 2021 with our first workshop on Jan. 20 on Best Practice Rest Services: Creating, Packaging, and ManagingThis workshop explores how to create, package, and deploy ABL services into a PASOE instance using PDSOE and various command-line tools to create tailored development and test environments.

On next day, Jan. 21, is our ever-popular topic on Security Best Practices for Progress Application Server (PAS) for OpenEdge.  The workshop is for any OpenEdge developers or administrators who use or will be using Progress Application Server (PAS) for OpenEdge for their ABL applications. When you expose any web application, you need to have an effective security runtime that operates outside its codebase. PAS for OpenEdge supplies the Spring Security product as a standard feature to fill that need. This workshop makes the best use of the Spring Security product for your ABL business application

We are rounding out January with our How to Support the Progress Application Server (PAS) for OpenEdge, held on Jan. 27. If you are ready to deploy an application with Progress Application Server (PAS) for OpenEdge to production, but you aren't sure how to best monitor and support it, this workshop is for you. In this workshop, we explain PAS's components for OpenEdge, the log files for component, and where to look for common problems.

On Feb. 23, we have one of our most popular workshops — Tips and Tricks for Success with Progress Application Server for OpenEdge. In this workshop, you'll learn tips and tricks, hands-on examples, and see the OpenEdge 12 series' latest features to help you be immediately successful.
