The Compensation Analyst is a key contributor in the administration and development of Compensation programs globally, across the organization. You will fit well into the role if you are an analytical-minded self-starter who is eager to dive right in and make an immediate impact on the global Total Rewards function. This role ensures our employees are compensated and rewarded equitably by maintaining accurate and reliable data, performing in-depth analyses, drawing insights and conclusions from data, and recommending improvements. You will also become a key contributor to our Equity Administration team by providing ongoing support to our employees and other functions.
 
In this role, you will
  • Help administer survey activities including evaluating surveys for appropriate coverage and participating in surveys
  • Assist with the company’s annual compensation planning cycle for merit, bonus, commission and equity through system preparation, testing, training, reporting and analytical support
  • Help maintain the company’s internal job structures (salary ranges, external benchmarks, job codes, grade levels, titling, job descriptions)
  • Support Senior Compensation Consultant in building quantitative models in excel, data gathering, modeling and analysis
  • Support new and ongoing compensation and Total Reward Initiatives and projects
  • Identify and recommend improvements and efficiencies around compensation programs, processes, reporting and support initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, and local labor laws
  • Partner with payroll, accounting, legal and other teams on ad-hoc and reoccurring reporting
  • Support execution of daily equity administration activities such as trade clearances and option exercises
  • Help answer and educate Progress employees on various equity related topics such as ESPP, vesting, grants, and more
Your background:
  • Up to 4 years experience in compensation or a similar role, having worked with theory, design, practices, and analytical modeling
  • Strong Excel skills. At a minimum, you should be able to easily run VLOOKUP's, logical functions, and create pivot tables and charts
  • Demonstrated analytical skills with the ability to perform independent in-depth analysis
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Experience with Workday preferred but not required
  • Some experience or general knowledge of publicly traded companies is preferred but not required
