David Krall currently serves as Strategic Advisor to Roku, Inc. (Nasdaq: ROKU), a leading manufacturer of media players for streaming entertainment, since 2011, having previously served as President and Chief Operating Officer of Roku since 2010, where he was responsible for managing all functional areas of the company. Mr. Krall currently serves as a Board member for Harmonic Inc. (Nasdaq: HLIT), a leader in video delivery and cable access virtualization, Audinate Group Ltd (ASX: AD8), a leading developer of professional AV-over-IP solutions, and as a Board member and Strategic Advisor for Universal Audio, a company that develops and manufactures state-of-the-art audio processing equipment. Prior to Roku, Mr. Krall spent two years as President and CEO of QSecure, Inc., a privately held developer of secure credit cards based on micro-electro-mechanical system technology. Before joining QSecure, from 1995 to July 2007, Mr. Krall held a variety of positions of increasing responsibility and scope at Avid Technology, Inc. (Nasdaq: AVID), a leading provider of digital media creation tools for the media and entertainment industry. His tenure at Avid included serving seven years as the company's President and Chief Executive Officer. Under Mr. Krall's leadership, Avid doubled its revenues to just under $1 Billion annually, introduced groundbreaking new products in its core businesses and expanded into new markets through organic growth and strategic acquisitions.
Mr. Krall brings over 25 years of invaluable strategic and tactical management experience to Progress from his leadership positions in the professional audio, video, digital media and technology industries. Mr. Krall has experience working in companies ranging from small startups to public companies with thousands of employees serving worldwide marketplaces. Mr. Krall holds a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Master of Business Administration, with distinction, from Harvard Business School.
