Thunder: Publishing the Sitefinity CMS project to Azure

1. Click Sign in to download credentials.
   A file with your subscription is downloaded.
   The file extension is .publishsettings.
2. When the file is downloaded, click Import… button and import it.
   If you have already imported this file, then your subscription appears in the subscriptions dropdown.
3. Select your subscription and click Next.
   

   NOTE: You can create or edit certificates by clicking Create or Edit buttons. There you see a list with all available certificates, options for changing their names, and viewing detailed information about them. You can create a new certificate by following the instructions on the appearing dialog.

4. Configure Windows Azure publish settings.
   
   1. Leave the default Deployment label or enter a new one.
   2. Select between Staging or Production environment.
   3. Select or create a Cloud Service.
   4. Select or create a Storage Account.
      

      NOTE: You are not able to create a new cloud service or storage account if you have exceeded the limitation which is 20 for the cloud service and 5 for the storage account.

   5. Click Next.
5. Select cloud configuration settings.
   
   1. Select the number of role instances.
      To use more than one role, your Sitefinity CMS license must support Network Load Balancing.
      The sum of all role instances in a subscription cannot exceed 20. You can check in the management portal if there are enough free.
      

      NOTE: After the project is deployed you can change the number of used instances in a hosted service from the management portal.

   2. Select the size of the virtual machine which will host your project
      For more information, see How to Configure Virtual Machine Sizes.
   3. Select the local storage size.
      A local storage resource is a reserved directory in the file system of the virtual machine in which an instance of a role is running. Code that is running in the instance can access the local storage resource when it needs to write to or read from a file.
   4. Choose whether the local storage should be cleaned when a role is recycled.
   5. Create a remote desktop account for the virtual machine.
   6. Click Next.
6. Verify your final settings in the summary and click Next.
7. When the deployment is over a success message appears and the URL of your website is displayed. 
8. Click Next and then Finish to complete the wizard.  

NOTE: Thunder remembers your last settings (except for the Remote Desktop) so you do not have to input them every time you use the wizard.
