Sitefinity CMS rich-text content editor, based on Kendo UI, lets you focus on your content first and foremost. You use the text editor to create rich text — lists, blog posts, news, and more — which can then be published on your website. The content editor is organized around the content editing area – once you start typing your content, the contextual formatting toolbar is displayed. With the help of the contextual toolsets, you can format the text, create lists and tables, insert links, embed media, and so on. In addition, you can work in the HTML mode if you need to edit the source.
Apart from the text editing area, you can define and configure additional information about the content, including the content fields. In addition, you can tag and categorize the content or make it more findable on the web via additional URLs. You can also enrich the context of the content with related data and images. You do this without leaving the content editing screen, in dedicated sections below the content editing area.
Browsing through and opening sibling items is made easy. For example, when writing a blog post, you need to edit a related detail in another post you wrote. Simply click the Browse other blog posts and select an item from the list to open.
You can easily work with content at scale and collaborate with other content authors and editors by sharing a link to your content.
The following sections describe the formatting and contextual toolsets.
