For developers: Shipping processor implementation

If you want to use a shipping provider different from the built-in ones, you have to create your custom shipping provider to work with it. First you can open your SitefiniyWebApp and create new folder, e.g. CustomShippingProvider. To create a custom shipping provider, you have to perform the following:

• For developers: Create a shipping provider class
  You have to create a class for your custom shipping provider and implement the IShippingCarrierProvider interface. For more information, read here.
• For developers: Create the settings
  In this class you define the settings (model) of your custom shipping provider. For more information, read here.
• For developers: Create a custom shipping provider field
  You create a regular Sitefinity CMS field inheriting from Field control. For more infoomation, read here.
  
  After all the steps are followed your solution should look close to the picture below:
  
  

Once you have completed the code files, and they compile without error, then you can move on to create the configuration area in the Sitefinity CMS backend described in For developers: Shipping processor configuration.
