Ecommerce

Sitefinity CMS Ecommerce helps you create an online store quickly by simply dragging and dropping widgets and setting properties - from creating the products, through configuring the pages, to reviewing orders. You manage your webshop end to end – from tax calculation, currencies, payment and shipping methods to all store settings, product catalogs and variations, orders, and even discounts and coupons.

NOTE: Sitefinity CMS Ecommerce module is deactivated by default for new projects. For more information on how to activate and deactivate modules, see Activate and deactivate modules. If you manage multiple sites, you also have to enable the Ecommerce modules in the Sites management page. For more information, see  Configuring the modules of a site.

To display the products, the shopping cart, and the checkout procedure to the users of your website, you use widgets. Before you design the pages, you create products, payment and shipping methods, and all other required settings. The product catalog helps you categorize your products in logical groups by departments, tags, product types or any other logical separation you may have. Depending on what products you are selling, you can create different product types. You use departments to structure your online store and facilitate your customers in finding what they need.

Of course, you can do all this programmatically. In any case, after you set up and configure your webshop, you can take a look at the going live checklist to make sure you are ready to go. After your webshop starts operating, you can analyze the performance and results with the help of the detailed ecommerce reports.
