You use this widget to add Google Analytics tracking code to your page. You use Google Analytics to track your website traffic and marketing effectiveness. The tracking code that you insert in Google Analytics widget helps Google Analytics to get information about your website. For more information about Google Analytics, see www.google.com/analytics.
To gather data about your website traffic, perform the following:
NOTE: If you add Google Analytics widget in a page template the tracking is applied to all the pages that use this template. If you add it on one particular page, the tracking is available only for this page. When using the Google Analytics widget, the tracking code is always placed inside the <body> section of the page HTML. If you need to have the tracking code placed inside the <head> tag of the page HTML you must use a JavaScript widget and add the code manually. For more information see JavaScript widget.
