Create profile types

  1. To open the Profile types page, in the Sitefinity CMS backend, navigate to Administration » Users.
  2. In the right pane, click Manage Profile types.
  3. Click Create profile type.
    The Create a profile type page appears.
  4. Enter a name for this profile type.
  5. To change the name that is used in code to refer to this profile type, click Change button and enter a new name.
  6. If you have more than one user providers, the User groups this profile set is used by radio button appears.
    Select one of the following:
    • All user groups
    • Specific user groups
      Select the checkboxes of the providers that this profile type will be associated with.
  7. Click Create this profile type and go to add fields.
  8. To add fields to the user profile, under Custom fields, click Add a field…
    The fields that you add to the user profile are displayed when you create a user. For example, for the Blogger profile, create a field Nickname.

  9. Click Save changes button.
    The profile type is created and appears in the list of Profile types.
