Installation requirements
See Product Requirements Progress Hybrid Data Pipeline DocumentationThe Hybrid Data Pipeline server may be deployed as a Docker container or installed on a Linux host. Download the Docker image or the server installer. Then, follow the instructions according to your preferred deployment option. Note that no additional components are required for OData.
Option 1: Linux installation. For instructions, refer to Installing the Hybrid Data Pipeline Server in the Deployment Guide.
Option 2: Trial Docker deployment. For instructions, refer to the Trial Docker Deployment Getting Started.
OData connectivity is handled by an OData layer within Hybrid Data Pipeline, and therefore does not require the use of a separate component.
The ODBC or JDBC driver needs to be installed in your client application environment if you want to use an ODBC or JDBC API to connect to the Hybrid Data Pipeline server.
ODBC driver installation. For instructions, refer to Installing the Hybrid Data Pipeline Driver for ODBC in the Deployment Guide.
JDBC driver installation. For instructions, refer to Installing the Hybrid Data Pipeline Driver for JDBC in the Deployment Guide.
The On-Premises Connector lets you move data from on-premises data stores behind a firewall to the cloud or to another data center behind another firewall. The On-Premises Connector must be installed on a Windows machine behind the firewall where the on-premises data store is located.
