Features
Support for Storage API
Supports the ability to read large amount of data quickly. The driver uses the Google BigQuery high performing Storage API for Selects based on the configurable values of the Storage API Threshold and Storage API Min Page Count connection option.
Support for Standard and Legacy SQL
Supports both Standard and Legacy SQL dialects based on configurable values of Syntax option. The driver also supports CRUD operations with internal tables and read operations with external tables by leveraging the SQL engine functionality of Google BigQuery.
OAUTH and Service Account Support
Authenticate users without providing user credentials using secure OAUTH 2.0 protocol and Service Account authentication. The driver also provides an option to pass the service account key directly rather than relying on a disk.
Security and Compliance
Protect customer-sensitive data elements (including remote credential or database pairings stored) with encryption, both at rest (AES-256) and in transit (SSL/TLS).
Cross-platform Support
Use one JDBC driver for all versions of SQL across both 32-bit and 64-bit platforms.
