Starting with Progress® OpenEdge® 11.7, Progress Software Corporation provides Change Data Capture. OpenEdge Change Data Capture (CDC) is an OpenEdge RDBMS feature that identifies and captures data that has changed in database tables, as a result of create, update, and delete (CUD) operations. This is useful to customers who need to export data to a data warehouse or business intelligence application.

In this course, you will learn how to implement Change Data Capture for your OpenEdge RDBMS databases. First, you will learn how OpenEdge Change Data Capture works. Then, you will learn how to prepare for CDC, allocate space for CDC data tables and indexes, and enable CDC for a database. Next, you will learn how to create new CDC policies. Then, you will learn how to manage CDC policies. Finally, you will learn how to manage CDC.

Audience

This course is for database administrators who need to implement Progress OpenEdge Change Data Capture.
