About the Certification

The Foundations of Sitefinity Development certification is part of the Progress Partner Enablement Program and represents the first level of technical certification for Progress Sitefinity. It is created by and offered only through Progress. While designed with partners in mind, every developer looking to demonstrate their Sitefinity knowledge can take advantage of it.

You can become a Sitefinity Certified Developer by taking our certification exam. The Foundations of Sitefinity Development Certification Exam is bundled with exam tutorials offered within the "Introduction to Sitefinity Development" course, all built and maintained in-house, to make it easier for developers to prepare for the exam. 

A special “Certified Sitefinity Developer” badge and a personal Certificate will be issued to all who pass the exam. Certificates are valid for 2 years, but can be renewed by retaking the exam, which would require re-purchasing.

About the Exam

 

  • The exam costs $200 and includes web-based training materials, see How to Subscribe below
  • Consists of 100 multiple-choice questions
  • Measures your ability to understand how you can design, style, develop, optimize and troubleshoot Sitefinity applications
  • Graded automatically with 75% being the passing grade
  • Once started, the exam needs to be completed within 165 minutes- it cannot be paused and continued at a later stage
  • The certification is valid for 2 years, after which a re-certification is required
  • An official certificate and a “Certified Sitefinity Developer” logo acknowledging your expertise will be automatically made available for you upon successfully passing the certification

Exam Retake Policy

In the event that you fail to pass the Sitefinity Developer Certification Exam, you shall be required to wait for a period of at least fourteen (14) calendar days before your next attempt. The 14-day waiting period will be imposed for all exam retakes (first and subsequent). In addition, all exam retakes require re-purchasing of the Sitefinity Developer Certification Exam.

How to Subscribe

Step 1 - Log in

Visit the Progress Education Community (PEC) and log in with your Progress ID. If you do not have a Progress ID, you can register here.
Note: You must activate your Progress ID prior to logging in to the Progress Education Community

Step 2 - Purchase Content

Visit the eCommerce page and find your content: Foundations of Sitefinity Development. Purchase it via PayPal or credit card.
Note: Enter the First Name, Last Name, and Email associated with your Progress ID on the Course Checkout page.

Step 3 - Start Learning

When the transaction is complete, click the PEC logo to return to the home dashboard and access your purchased content.
