“And the Awards Go To...” - Sitefinity Website of the Year Awards 2022 Results Are In!

May 26, 2022 Digital Experience, Sitefinity

The time has come...ballots tabulated, and we are proud to announce the winners of the Sitefinity Website of the Year Awards for 2022.

What do the websites of a Minnesota-based federal credit union, the largest technical school in Singapore and a UN-based subsidiary focusing on food all have in common? Each of these were winners in the Sitefinity Website of the Year 2022 contest.

And today, we are proud to reveal all 16 winners. While the Website of the Year contest ends, we are honored to highlight the exceptional digital experiences our partners and customers have created throughout the calendar year. Our internal jury has been evaluating the submissions across six criteria: visual design, content, layout and navigation, complexity, innovation and significance. They narrowed down the submissions to three standout finalists per contest category.

After our internal judges of Sitefinity product experts shortlisted the finalists, we opened the doors for the public to start voting in the Sitefinity Website of the Year Awards for 2022. Everyone logging on was eager to determine which websites deserved the title of best of the best. As a result, over 6,200 votes were cast. The internal jury weighed in as well and elicited the winners.

The Website of the Year Awards Recognizes Excellence, Innovation and More for Our Most Important People: Customers and Partners.

The 2022 Sitefinity Website of the Year Awards recognizes sites developed and enhanced in 2021, which was a formidable year for the Sitefinity community. Hybrid working became the new, “new normal” for some companies, which meant adapting to a developing style of work. However, others were still dealing with COVID-19 variants creating several other challenges. Combined with the usual day-to-day tasks, the year had its own unique sets of challenges and trends when working on their websites. However, this did not mean our customers and partners backed down. Instead, they rolled up their sleeves, pushed forward and found many of the challenges to be simple speedbumps.

With the release of Sitefinity DX, participants had a newfound focus on creating digital experiences via engaging content or creative layouts and easy-to-use navigation for their customers. Or, students, as was the case with inHub by the Henry Ford. In this story, the Henry Ford was eager to launch a new community for remote learning and had a noticeably abbreviated time to do so. But, by tapping into Progress Sitefinity, the Henry Ford completed their project alongside partner Enqbator.

Originally, we had two new categories to reflect Sitefinity DX’s capabilities (Headless and Multichannel). But a special jury award was created, a third, almost too obvious one: Best Digital Experience. After working with Americaneagle.com, P.F. Chang’s took home this award based on its implementation of Sitefinity to upgrade its website’s performance and various customer-focused integrations. As a result, P.F. Chang’s found that its customer-focused features, like the restaurant’s rewards programs, created unique, engaging experiences for customers, and its website’s overall performance improved.
