The Spark Comes to Europe: PUG Challenge 2013

October 28, 2013 Company and Community , Data & AI

Following the success of Progress Exchange (#PRGS13) in Boston, the association of Progress User Groups for the EMEA region will be hosting its biggest ever User Group conference in Brussels on November 7 and 8.

The EMEA PUG Challenge will see around 450 developers, partners and end-users from across Europe, the Middle East and Africa come together to learn and share the latest best practices for application development and data integration, including the latest mobile and cloud technologies.

For many attendees the main attraction will be the chance to talk with experts and Progress executives regarding the company’s platform as a service (PaaS) launched earlier this year: Progress Pacific.

If you can’t make it in person you can follow the conversation on Twitter through the hashtag #PUGChallenge and our handle @ProgressSW. If you have any specific questions you would like answered let us know on the new Progress Community site. It’s an online hub for developers which will allow them to access and share expert content.

Now in its fourth year the EMEA PUG Challenge will include more than 70 presentations and workshops on everything from commercial topics to programming architecture and mobile UI. Sessions will be led by speakers from the community and experts from within Progress with Progress CEO Phil Pead and chief technology officer, Karen Tegan Padir also attending.

Hosted in the Radisson Blu Royal Hotel, the conference is the coming together of a number of regional User Groups and a massive thanks goes out to all those involved in the preparation and, of course, the sponsors.
