I know those active in the OpenEdge community know all about its latest releases—OpenEdge 12.2 and 12.3. But did you know that on Dec. 2, we are hosting a Progress Talks session that highlights the OpenEdge 12 series?
Hosted by Shelley Chase and a team of engineers and software fellows, the team plans to discuss some critical improvements made, including:
The OpenEdge team is seeing customers such as Mark Information adopt OpenEdge 12.2 with resounding success. By modernizing its workforce management tools with Progress, Mark Information boosted performance gains to between 100% and 150%, and shifted over 70% of customers to cloud environments.
If you don't know much about Mark Information, they are based in the Nordics and are vendors of the ProMark Workforce Management system. Their workforce management software is used for things like time and attendance, rostering, production management, business intelligence, and much more. As a Progress OpenEdge customer for 30 years, Mark Information remains on top by modernizing its solution as technologies evolve.
Because Mark Information wanted to accelerate its migration into offering a software as a service (SaaS) app and leverage new OpenEdge capabilities for DevOps, continuous monitoring and integration services for customers wanting load balancing, fail-safe scenarios, and less downtime, OpenEdge version 12.2 presented the company with the opportunity to modernize the user experience with the backend.
What Mark Information has seen is just the tip of the iceberg for what OpenEdge has been delivering to customers and partners. Their migration story is pretty impressive; you can read more by clicking below.
