Edit news

1. On a News page, open a news item for editing by:
   • Clicking the news item.
   • Click the Actions link of the news item, and the choosing Content.
   • The Edit a news page opens.

     NOTE: In the right panel, the current status of the news item you opened for editing is displayed, as well as the author, the timestamp of the last update, the publication date, and a link to all existing versions of the item.

2. Make your required changes. See Create news items for details.
3. When you are finished, perform one of the following:
• If you have opened for editing a news item in status Draft, Unpublished, or Rejected, perform procedure Manage pages and content items in status Draft, Unpublished, or Rejected.
• If you have opened for approving a news item in status Awaiting approval, perform procedure Manage pages and content items in status Awaiting approval.
• If you have opened for publishing a news item in status Awaiting publishing, perform procedure Manage pages and content items in status Awaiting publishing.
• If you have opened for editing a news item in status Published or Scheduled, perform procedures Manage pages and content items in status Published or Manage pages and content items in status Scheduled respectively.
  If you are editing a published news item, the system saves a draft of that news, but the published version is still visible on the webpage. To see which version is the currently published one, see Revision history for content items.

You can delete news in the following ways:

• On News page, select one or more news and click Delete button in the toolbar.
• On News page, click the Actions link of the news item, and then choose Delete.
• On Edit a news page, click More actions » Delete.

A dialog opens for you to confirm the deletion.

If you activated the Recycle bin module, the news item is not permanently deleted, but moved to the recycle bin. You can later restore or permanently delete the item from the recycle bin. For more information, see Recycle bin.
