The Events page lets you maintain calendar postings in all the familiar one-off and recurring types.
PREREQUISITES: You must set the day of the week you want your calendar to start the week. To do this, click Administration » Settings » Advanced » Events and specify the First day of the week and the Last day of the week and click Save changes.
On Events page, you can view all the comments for events by clicking Comments for events link on the right side of the page. All comments that have been submitted for all the events are displayed.

You can set permissions for all events, or set individual permissions for each event. To change the permissions for all events, on Events page, click Permissions link in the right side of the page. The Permissions page opens. For more information about changing permissions, see Administration: Global and section permissions » Step 2 to Step 4.

You can add custom fields to events, or choose from predefined default fields (such as contact phone #, and UTC time) that are currently suppressed from view. To manage the custom fields of events, on Events page, click Custom Fields for events link in the right pane of the page. For more information, see Overview: Custom fields.
You then display a custom field on your website by adding it to a template for displaying events. For more information, see Create and edit widget templates.
To display events on your website, you must use the Events widget and you must configure it. For more information, see Events widget.

You can then choose the way events are displayed by changing the template which the Events widget uses. For more information, see Create and edit widget templates.
