You can establish and maintain discussion groups by using the Forums module.
The module is organized as follows:
You can set permission for all forums and you can set individual permissions for each forum.
To change the permissions for all forums, on Forums page, click Permissions link in the right side of the page. The Permissions for all forums page opens. For more information about changing permissions, see Administration: Global and section permissions.
To change the permissions of a particular forum, click its Actions link and from the dropdown box, click Permissions. For more information about setting individual permissions, see Administration: Permissions of individual items.
To display forums on your website, you must use a Forums widget, and then configure it. For more information, see Forums widget. For more information about adding widgets on your page, see Add widgets on pages and templates.
You can then choose the way forums, threads, and posts are displayed by changing the templates that the Forums widget uses. For more information, see Create and edit widget templates.
