Jobs module: Install the module

After you implement the module class, you can install the Locations module in your Sitefinity CMS project.
NOTE: Your Sitefinity CMS application must reference the assembly of the module. For more information, see Jobs module: Reference the required assemblies. 

Install the Jobs module

To install the Jobs module in Sitefinity CMS, perform the following:

  1. Build the Visual Studio solution where the module is located.
    Open the context menu of the solution and click Build Solution.
  2. Browse to the bin folder of the solution.
  3. Copy the .dll file of the module project to the bin folder inside your Sitefinity CMS folder.
  4. Go to Sitefinity CMS backend (http://<yoursite>/sitefinity).
  5. In the main menu, click Administration » Settings » Advanced.
  6. In the treeview on the left, click System » ApplicationModules.
  7. To register the module, click Create New.
  8. In the Name input field and in the Title input field, enter Jobs Module.
  9. In the Type field, enter Jobs.JobsModule.
  10. In the StartupType field, enter OnApplicationStart.
  11. To save your changes, click Save changes.

The module is installed the next time Sitefinity CMS is initialized.

Install the Jobs module in a multiple site environment
  1. In Sitefinity CMS backend, open MultisiteManagement.
  2. From the Actions menu of your site, select Configure Modules.
  3. Under THIS SITE HAS, select the Locations checkbox.
  4. Under THIS SITE CAN USE DATA FROM..., change the provider to OpenAccessLocationsDataProvider.
