We’ve talked about definitions and configurations in the previous topics in a developer context. You can modify the configurations that change the behavior of the backend UI on the Sitefinity CMS Advanced Settings page, accessed in the backend by the menu command Administration -> Settings -> Advanced.
The Advanced Settings page displays a tree of settings that can be modified. All those are under a root node for the specific area. Many of these are the same configurations that persist definition values. By changing values in the advanced settings screen, you are actually changing persisted definition values.
