Install, upgrade, and deploy
To start using Sitefinity CMS you must download it from Sitefinity CMS website and run the installer. Sitefinity CMS installs and opens the Sitefinity CMS Project Manager, which you use to start creating your project. When you start using Sitefinity CMS for the first time, the installation of your license is incorporated in the process of page creation and is guided by a wizard.
You can install Sitefinity CMS on your local machine, on the IIS, or, via FTP connection, on a remote server. You can also install your project locally and later deploy it to Windows Azure cloud services. Sitefinity CMS also supports different databases, such as Microsoft SQL Server, Express, and Azure, Oracle, and MySQL.
