Site sync procedure

1. In the main menu, click Administration » Staging & Syncing.
   • If you have not added any servers with which to synchronize, the following is displayed:

     

     Click Synchronization Settings and perform procedure Configure the servers for synchronization.

   • If you have configured the server(s) that data will be published to, the system displays the configured servers, the date when the last sync was performed, and the user that performed the synchronization.
2. Under What do you want to sync ?, perform the following: 
   1. Select one or more types of content for synchronization.
   2. Click the Change button of the content where you want to use selective sync.
      A window appears.
      Select one of the following:
      • All new or updated
        All new or updated published items from the selected type are synced.
        If you are using more than one language, you can also choose if you want to sync items in a particular language only.
      • Selected items only
        A list of all published items appears.
        Select the checkboxes of the items that you want to sync and click Done.
        If you are using more than one language, you can also choose if you want to sync items in a particular language only.

        Only published items are synced.
        The items on the target server are replaced by the source items that you have chosen for synchronization.
        

        NOTE: If you have upgraded you project, no items are marked for synchronization, unless you republish them.

3. Click one of the following:
   • Start sync
     When sync is completed, the system displays a report. If something fails to synchronize, it appears in the report and you can see details.
   • Schedule syncing
1. From the dropdown box, choose when to sync the content.
   You can schedule periodic syncs.
2. Choose the exact time when the sync will take place.
3. Click Schedule.
