Sitefinity Desktop Experience: Create a blog

You can use Sitefinity CMS Desktop Application to create blogs from your desktop, regardless of whether you are online or offline.

To create a blog, perform the following:

1. In the upper-left corner, click MENU » Create new » Blog.
2. Enter a title of the blog.
3. If you have added any custom fields for blogs, all custom fields also appear.
   

   IMPORTANT: Some of the above fields may not be displayed when you create a blog, because they have been hidden.

4. To change the automatically generated URL, edit the text in the URL field.
5. When you are finished creating the blog, you can do one of the following:
• If you do not have internet access or you do not want to publish the blog yet, you can save it as draft by clicking Save Draft button in the upper-right corner of the screen.
• If you want to publish the blog, click Publish button in the upper-right corner of the screen.
  You cannot publish an item, if you are working offline.
  If you are working offline, you can see the Go Online button in the lower-right corner of the screen. 
  Click Go Online and then Publish. 
  You cannot go online without access to the internet.
