Sitefinity Desktop Experience: Create a document or spreadsheet

You can use Sitefinity CMS Desktop Application to create new documents (.docx) and spreadsheets (.xlsx). The newly created files are uploaded in a selected Document and file library.

To create a new document or spreadsheet, perform the following:

1. Open Sitefinity CMS Desktop Application and click MENU » Create new.
2. Under Documents, click New document or New spreadsheet, respectively.
3. The new documents open in a Microsoft Word editing environment and the new spreadsheets open in a Microsoft Excel editing environment.
   For each file you can replace the file or edit the following properties:
• Title
• Author
• Description
• Sitefinity CMS Desktop Experience: Categorize or tag an item
• Other details
• URL
4. When you are finished creating the document, click one of the following:

• Upload and Publish
  The file is uploaded and published in Sitefinity.
• Upload and Save as Draft
  The file is published in Sitefinity CMS in status Draft.
• Save locally
  The file is saved only in your Sitefinity CMS Desktop Application. You can use this option when you do not have an internet connection.
• Close
  The file is discarded.
