Sitefinity Desktop Experience: Install

To install Sitefinity CMS Desktop Application on your computer, perform the following:

  1. Download Sitefinity CMS Desktop Application from https://www.progress.com/sitefinity-cms/digital-experience-cloud.
  2. To install the desktop client, run the executable file.
    The installer starts.
  3. Click Install.
    The installation process begins.
    Accept the LICENSE AGREEMENT.
    Welcome to Sitefinity CMS Desktop Application screen appears. You use this screen to configure the connection to your site.
  4. In Site Url, enter the URL of your website.
  5. In Site Name, enter a name of the site that is used for your convenience only.
  6. Enter the Username and the Password that you use to connect to Sitefinity.
    If you want, you can use your Windows credentials or Website login to authenticate.

    NOTE: You cannot be simultaneously logged in with the same credentials in Sitefinity CMS Desktop Application and in the backend of Sitefinity.

  7. Click Finish.
    The Dashboard of Sitefinity CMS Desktop Application appears.
