Thunder: Create an empty custom module

You can create custom modules in your Sitefinity CMS web application or class library:
  1. Select the solution where you want to place your custom module.
  2. Open its context menu and click Add » New Item… 
  3. In the left pane, select Visual C# and in the central pane, select Sitefinity CMS Empty Custom Module.
  4. Enter a name for the module and click Add.
    A new module, the configuration for the module, and a resource class are created. The generated module is automatically registered in the system configuration in your Sitefinity CMS project.
  5. Build your solution.
    The module is automatically installed in Sitefinity CMS. To use it, you must activate it.
  6. To activate the module, in Sitefinity CMS backend, click Administration » Modules & Services.
