Locations module: Install the module

After you implement the module class, you can install the Locations module in your Sitefinity CMS project.

NOTE: Your Sitefinity CMS application must reference the assembly of the module. For more information, see Locations module: Reference the required assemblies.

Install the Locations module

To install the Locations module in Sitefinity CMS project:

  1. Go to the Sitefinity CMS backend (http://<yoursite>/sitefinity).
  2. In the main menu, click Administration » Settings » Advanced.
  3. In the navigation tree on the left, click System » ApplicationModules.
  4. To register the Locations module, click Create New.
  5. In the Name input field and in the Title input field, enter Locations.
  6. In the Type field, enter LocationsModule.LocationsModule.
  7. In the StartupType field, enter OnApplicationStart.
  8. Leave the Version field empty.
  9. To save your changes, click Save changes.

The module is installed the next time you initialize Sitefinity.

Install the Locations module in multiple site environment

  1. In Sitefinity CMS backend, open MultisiteManagement.
  2. From the Actions menu of your site, select Configure Modules.
  3. Under THIS SITE HAS, select the Locations checkbox.
  4. Under THIS SITE CAN USE DATA FROM..., change the provider to OpenAccessLocationsDataProvider.
