Install Sitefinity CMS

PREREQUISITES: You must have certain database permissions on the machine where you want to install Sitefinity CMS. For more information, see Configure and start a project » Step 2.

To download Sitefinity CMS, perform the following:

1. Open https://www.progress.com/sitefinity-cms.
2. In the upper-right corner of the page, click Your Account.
3. Login with your Sitefinity CMS credentials.
   If you do not have an account, you must create one.
4. In the upper-right corner of the screen, expand you account options. 
5. Click Account Overview » Products & Subscriptions » Sitefinity CMS.
6. Click 
   You can download one of the following:
   
   • Download the latest version.
     To do this, click 
   • Download an older version.
     Click Older Versions.
     A list of all available versions appears. Click the version that you want to download.
   • Download an internal build.
     Click Latest Internal Builds.
     A dropdown with all available internal builds appears. Select the build that you want to download.
7. Unzip the downloaded file and run Sitefinity.exe.
   Sitefinity CMS Project Manager does not require installation, you are ready to Create projects.

1. Open https://www.progress.com/sitefinity-cms and click TRY SITEFINITY.
   Progress Sitefinity CMS installer appears.
2. Select which Sitefinity CMS components to install.
   You can install the following:
   • Sitefinity
   • Sitefinity CMS Thunder
3. Click NEXT.
4. Enter installation folder, accept the License Agreement, and click NEXT.
5. Login with your Sitefinity CMS credentials or create an account.
6. Click Install.
   When the installation finishes, a summary appears.
   Remember the provided credentials.
7. In the Project Manager that opens automatically, login with the provided credentials.
   The Dashboard of Sitefinity CMS appears.
