You manage news items from a site's News page.
To open a News page, in the main menu, click Content » News. The News page opens, displaying a list with all the news and actions you can perform on them.
For more information about comments, see Overview: Comments module.
You can set permission for all news as well as individual permissions for each news item.
To change the permissions for all news, on a News page, click Permissions in the right panel. The Permissions page opens. For more information about permissions, see Administration: Global and section permissions
For information about setting individual permissions, see Administration: Permissions of individual items.
There are many predefined fields that are not shown when creating a new record; that's because they are hidden. Once you have created your first news item, the right panel lets you 'turn on' these default fields as required, or even create your own. Click Settings for news: Custom fields for news. The News data fields page opens.
You can then choose the way news items are displayed by changing the template which the News widget uses. For more information, see Create and edit widget templates.
