EXAMPLE: You can create a department called Books, which has sub-departments Fiction and Nonfiction. In sub-department Fiction, you can create two sub-departments – Crime and Fantasy.
You manage the departments of your store on the Departments page.
To open the Departments page, in the main menu in the upper part of the screen, click Ecommerce » Departments. The Departments page appears, displaying a list of all created departments together with actions you can perform on them. Use this page to create, edit, and manage different departments.
After you have created your departments, you must assign products to them. You can assign products to departments when you are creating a new product or editing and existing one.
You can translate your departments in different languages. For more information, see Translate content items and taxonomies.
You can then choose the way departments are displayed by changing the template, which the Departments widget uses. For more information, see Create and edit widget templates.
