The Content recommender widget uses Sitefinity Insight’s A.I. algorithms to combine the content managed in Sitefinity CMS with the behavior patterns of your converting visitors managed in Sitefinity Insight to produce the next best step (a single page recommendation) for the current visitor’s journey. This next step is displayed using the Content recommendations widget on the pages of your Sitefinity CMS site, guiding your visitors along the optimal customer journey to increase their conversion rate.

In this article, you learn how to use the Content recommendations widget to suggest relevant content to your site visitors and guide them on a journey to increase their conversion rate.
RECOMMENDATION: Because the goal of the Content recommendations widget is to guide the site visitor through multiple touchpoints (site pages), we recommend placing it on a page template that is shared by all pages, which participate in the visitor journeys. This way, the visitors are guided continuously on their journeys towards the resources, which help the most in their conversion.
NOTE: The Content recommendations widget does not render actual content when you Preview a page. Instead, it renders a Lorem ipsum placeholder text. Also, it does not render content on published pages, unless the preconditions described in Content recommender.
You can place a Content recommender widget only inside a Section widget. To do this, perform the following:
