Tutorial: Create and enable a custom trace listener

This tutorial demonstrates how to create a custom trace listener which can log errors to external application such as Raygun (https://raygun.io/)

  • Visual Studio 2012
  • Microsoft SQL Server 2008R2 or later versions

PREREQUISITES:

  • Acquire a Raygun API key by registering on Raygun's site (Raugun.io)
  • Create a new application on your Raygun dashboard.
