Sitefinity CMS workflow controls the process through which content passes, before it is published on a live site. The implementation is based on the Windows Workflow Foundation and all defined workflows follow the .NET format. Although Sitefinity CMS comes with several built-in workflows, developers can define custom workflows that include steps not present in the default ones.
